How to make: Matcha Yakult Lattes with Shizu Tea

Looking for a unique way to enjoy your daily matcha? Try a Matcha Yakult Latte—a refreshing blend of earthy matcha and the sweet tang of Yakult. It’s the perfect pick-me-up for hot afternoons or a fun treat to share with friends.

This simple recipe features our Hjiri no Sato Ceremonial Matcha from Shizu Tea. Paired with probiotic-rich Yakult, it creates a bright and zesty twist on traditional matcha drinks.

🍵 Ingredients (1 Serving)

  • 2 to 4 grams of Hijiri no Sato Ceremonial Matcha (available at Shizu Tea)

  • 2 bottles of Yakult

  • Hot water (approximately 176F)

  • Ice cubes (as needed)

🥄 Instructions

  1. Scoop the Matcha
Scoop 2 to 4 grams of matcha into a small bowl, depending on how thick you want the matcha flavor. Use a sift if you want to prevent clumps and ensure a silky texture.

  2. Whisk with Water
Add 2.5 to 3 oz of hot water (175F) and whisk using a bamboo chasen until the matcha is smooth and frothy.

  3. Add Ice and Yakult
Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour in the two bottles of Yakult. Leave a little space at the top for the matcha.

  4. Top with Matcha
Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the Yakult mixture. Watch the beautiful layers form!

  5. Stir and Enjoy
Give it a gentle stir before drinking—or leave it layered for a pretty presentation.
