Taste Notes

From the moment Hijiri no Sato touches your flavor palate, you’ll experience a silky umami depth, a gentle natural sweetness, and an elegant freshness reminiscent of the morning mist over Uji’s rolling tea fields.

Its flavor profile is deeply rooted in Japanese tea heritage, echoing the refined matcha once reserved for imperial tea ceremonies in the Edo period. As you take a sip, a clean, refreshing aftertaste unveils itself—much like the quiet serenity of a Zen garden at dawn.

This is matcha for connoisseurs and seekers of true tea craftsmanship.

Reviews

  • "the perfect daily matcha"

I make a matcha latte every morning, and Hijiri no Sato has become my go-to. The vibrant green color and fresh taste tell me it’s high-quality—and it froths beautifully!

    Daniel Rivera, Austin, TX

  • "you can taste the quality!"

I’ve tried many matcha brands, but this is on another level. The flavor is naturally sweet and smooth, with no bitterness—just like the uji matcha I had in Japan.

    Emily Thompson, Seattle, WA

  • "I love this authentic matcha"

This matcha takes me straight to Uji, Japan. The rich umami flavor and smooth texture are unbeatable—so much better than the generic powders I’ve tried before.

    Sophie Chang, San Francisco, CA

    MATCHA FROM JAPAN

    Uji, Kyoto

Nestled in the rolling hills of Kyoto, Uji is world-renowned for producing the finest matcha for centuries. Our Hijiri no Sato matcha is sourced directly from one of Uji’s most respected tea farms, ensuring unparalleled quality, deep umami flavor, and a naturally vibrant green color in every sip.

    PRODUCTION PROCESS

    Stone Milled to Perfection

Only the youngest, most tender tea leaves from the spring harvest are selected for Hijiri no Sato—delivering superior sweetness, smooth texture, and deep umami richness. These leaves are then stone-milled for hours, preserving their delicate flavors and creating an ultra-fine matcha powder that whisks effortlessly into a velvety, frothy experience.

    LIFE ON THE TEA FARM

    Artisans of Tradition

Behind every cup of Hijiri no Sato is the dedication of expert tea farmers who have spent their lives perfecting the craft of matcha cultivation. These artisans hand-pick only the most delicate leaves, ensuring a matcha experience that is rich, smooth, and full of depth.
